Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

August 10, 2020 -

What is Lean Six Sigma?

Lean Six Sigma (LSS) combines the strengths of today’s two most powerful business initiatives – Lean and Six Sigma – into one integrated program. Lean focuses on reducing waste while Six Sigma focuses on reducing variation.

What is a Six Sigma Green Belt?

Six Sigma belt levels indicate the roles that individuals are qualified to play in completing projects and promoting Six Sigma. Green Belts not only serve as Six Sigma team members, but they can also assist with data collection and analysis for projects due to their knowledge of the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) framework.

Why have Six Sigma Green Belts?

Understanding performance metrics and tools like control charts and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Green Belts are ready to take charge of projects, making the connections between LSS concepts and the goals of their organization. Green Belts can put leadership tools into action, find chances to eliminate waste and glean useful insights from data.

Texas Manufacturing Assistance Center’s Green Belt Certification

Participants in the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt course learn many of the same tools and methods covered in the Black Belt course. Instructors focus on the most important techniques and skills to enable Green Belts to solve basic problems and get sustainable project results. This course is recognized by our customers for its superior practicality. As with the Black Belt certification, a two instructor approach is used along with extensive simulations and case studies.
