1. How long have you lived in Austin?
23 years
2. If you could master a skill that you don’t currently possess, what would it be and why?
I’d have to say language—mastering both Spanish and Mandarin, as that would be very helpful in business and personal travels.
3. What is your favorite podcast or favorite streaming series that you’d recommend?
I can’t get enough of Ted Lasso.
4. What is your favorite thing about working at Micross?
With a family fully of veterans and a son that’s active duty, I love that Micross is supporting mission and life-critical systems for military and aerospace customers.
5. What advice would you give to someone hoping to get into a career in manufacturing?
I would suggest someone just starting in their career to first intern to get a better idea of variety of roles to determine what they like and what education / background would be most beneficial. I would also advise anyone who finds a passion for manufacturing to stay curious, because there is something new to learn daily and the opportunities for improvement are endless.
6. What do you find most challenging about the manufacturing field today?
The competitive landscape.
